What a wonderful evening we had watching my granddaughter Natalie perform in the Madison Theatre Christmas Celebration “A Ziegfeld Holiday”.
The family enjoyed a evening of Holiday song and dance performed by the talented children at Molloy College. The wonderful cast performed each song perfectly from “Marshmallow World” to “Adeste Fideles” and “You’re a Mean One, Mister Grinch to “Home For The Holidays”. All in beautiful Ziegfeld style costumes.
Christmas is a time for cherishing those who bring so many blessings to our lives. May your heart feel that love this Christmas and throughout the New Year ahead.
These are the delicious Cucumber Wreaths we had at the PBSKids Event At Whole Foods Market earlier this year. Fun, easy and a perfect snack for now or anytime.
The Moodsters education toys and books help preschoolers learn about emotions.
The Moodsters are a team of 5 lovable little detectives. They help kids navigate the emotional maze of childhood.
With the help of The Moodster Feeling Flashlight a child can squash those afraid of the dark fears. Point flashlight towards ceiling or a wall and the Moodsters will magically appear offering wisdom for every emotion.
Who are the Moodsters? There names are Coz, Lolly, Snorf, Razzy and Quigly and they use special sleuthing skills to help children solve the mysteries of feelings.
How we handle our emotions is a big part of growing up and Moodsters make it fun as well as easy to learn. Moodsters toys are now available at Target stores.
Every year, at Christmas time, my whole family travels to the Big Apple.
We love this yearly tradition. We take the LIRR (train) to Macy’s Herald Square not to purchase gifts but to see good ole’ Saint Nick, otherwise known as Santa Clause
What brings tears to my eyes is the thought that my grand kids are growing up, and someday soon, snap, they will no longer ‘Believe’ in Good Ole’ Saint Nick. First it will be Sophie, then Christian will follow, just like their daddy and auntie. They will both want to just skip this yearly outing all together.
As sad as this thought is, I have to remember that Christmas is not about Santa Clause, sending Christmas cards, Christmas trees, or wrapping presents…No that is not what Christmas is about!
Christmas is about the nativity. A child, a mother, and a father. The first Christmas family! This family did not sing Joy To The World, they did not go to see Santa Clause, and they did not have any Christmas tree. They also did not send or receive Christmas cards.
This Christmas family had all the odds against them. Yet, they managed to find a simple place to have a child, and without even sending birth announcements, they had visitors from afar.
Yes, Christmas is not about twinkles of lights and shopping till your dropping.
It’s about a blessed family. I know that I have been blessed with a family. A family who will certainly change but will always remember where their home is.
FAMILY! What a beautiful word.
Now this Christmas I will enjoy the simple moments I have with my family. Enjoy our simple Macy’s trips till there are no more, and when there are no more I pray that my family will find something new that brings us together. I pray this Christmas for all of the world. For we have allowed the unholy to take over the holy.
I will keep the first Christmas in my heart and know that a child was born to bring Joy, Peace, and Love.
