The Art Of John Lennon 75th Anniversary #JohnLennon #AFANYC

Groovinmoms, along with Groovinmom Bobbi-Ann, was so happy to be invited to the AFA, in Soho, to view “The Art Of John Lennon”  IMG_6738 It was an art exhibition that showed us a side of John Lennon  we did not know too much about.   We always knew he was talented but seeing his art work, close up and personal, seemed to open a door  to John’s heart and soul.

We got to see his whimsical sketches of himself and Yoko. Some made us laugh some made us wonder but we loved every piece that was  displayed.IMG_3513

Here is what is called the karuizawa Series

IMG_3518 We could not help but show a little of our Beatlemania when we saw the hand written lyrics of John Lennon.

This quote from John just made me remember how profound John Lennon was.

We remembered how devoted John was to his family the last years of his life.

We also remembered the day he was taken away so suddenly.IMG_3515

If you were or still are, as Liz and I are, John Lennon lovers head on down, if you can, to Soho and see the

The Art of John Lennon

But you have to hurry!

The exhibition will end this Sunday October 31st, 2015.

Finding Neverland #Believe #NeverlandBway

1024a
Finding Neverland opened in the spring to great reviews and  we were so excited to get  a chance to see it at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
It was a packed house with  Peter Pan lovers like us!
1024b
This beautiful story about a man finding the courage to become a writer with the help of 4 young boys and their lovely widowed mom. J.M.Barrie (Matthew Morrison) takes us with him to the wonderful place called Neverland through a new play, unlike any the high-society London theatergoers have ever seen. Taking a huge risk  Barrie  has discovered the power of imagination — when you believe, you can fly.
1024c
The magic starts from the moment the lights dim, the curtain opens and the musical begins. This magical show  is perfect for all audiences,  children of all ages 🙂 A wonderful Holiday treat for families of all sizes. This is the magic that should be shared with the people you love.
We laughed, we cried and most of the time we wanted to get up and dance to the wonderful songs and music.
1026
Then we fell in love with Matthew Morrison and the whole cast, including Captain Hook. This will be a night we will Neverland forget, the night we remembered to “Play” and found out “All That Matters” and how to be “Stronger”.
