Here are some of the other booths we got to visit and products we learned about at the Getting Gorgeous Event 2014

Merci and I were measured for new bras from Bali. We both love Bali Intimates and were so happy to learn that we were getting a new bra sent to us!! We also learned that we both are one cup smaller. We were wearing the wrong size bra 🙂

The people at Vitabath were so sweet and explained how what you put on your skin goes into your skin. Easy way to soak up some A, B3, B5, C and E while moisturizing your skin.

We got to try Voli Vodka, twice ! I liked the Raspberry Goddess and Merci preferred the Volito. Lots of cocktails to enjoy at your next BBQ.

Bottoms up!

We had a great time hamming it up in the photo booth run by Whosevent. You get to pick your accessories, props and just have fun. The photos are instant. Say cheese!

Calgon helped you pick your scent by giving Astrology readings. Designer Imposters were there too. Love their Body Fantasies. A special scent for everyone.

Since we were both wearing dresses we watch on resistance training with ReXist 360. Everyone got to take home their own set.
This made Merci very happy 🙂

We got a surprise as we were leaving. Everyone got a bouquet of Passion Roses. They came in so many lovely colors. Merci took the red and I choose the pink.

A full and joyful day. Thanks to all the sponsors and especially to Audrey and Vera of Getting Gorgeous. Always a treat.

Teriyaki Chicken Wings

I love chicken wings in Teriyaki sauce. Sometimes I serve them as a appetizer, sometimes as the heart of the meal. I like to use ingredients I find in my cupboard. Here is my quick and simple recipe:

Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Oven 400

2 1/2 lbs chicken wings
1/2Cup of your favorite Teriyaki Marinade Sauce (I used Shop & Stop brand)
1/4 Cup Vinegar – any flavor
3 -4 cloves garlic – sliced or minced
Pepper flakes to taste – optional

Mix sauce together and pour over chicken wings.

Toss and stir to cover the wings. Let marinate for 30 minutes (or longer).
Cover baking sheet pan with parchment paper (for easy clean up). Place wings on parchment covered baking pan, spoon some of the sauce on top and bake for 1/2 hour and turn over, bake another 1/2 hour.
******Throw away any left over marinade*********

Keep a eye on the wings not to burn. Depends on how hot your oven cooks.
Place wings on a platter and drizzle cooking juices from baking pan on wings and serve.

The BEATLES will be at a theater near you!

If you were a “Beatlemaniac ” (like Groovinmoms) you had to have seen this movie at least 5 or more times, we did. I think it was 5 times in one day. 🙂

We could not get enough of the fab four. I guess they were our first real loves. I mean who could not love these guys. Oh , I know who did not love them all the boys who were so jealous that the girls stopped paying attention to them…Boohoo, guys…

Yes , these four guys changed our world.

It was then that we packed away all the dolls and began to concentrate on the boys from Liverpool.

My first love was George Harrison , Liz’s was John Lennon but we knew all four would always be in our hearts for eternity.

My Dad also loved the Beatles, he would always make sure we had their latest hits.

Liz would come to my house, see she lived down the hall from me, and we would get out the record player and play the Beatles records, 33’s and 45’s. If you know what 33 & 45’s represent, then we are on the same record.

We played Beatle records till we wore out the needle ,and so what if it started to skip, from wear and tear.

One thing!

It was at Hard Days Night filming that my one true love . George, met Ms. Pattie Boyd.

I remember when I heard George got married to Ms. Boyd, how my heart broke. </3

First broken heart I ever had, certainly not the last.

How could he do this to me?

I went to school that day in tears, and received so much sympathy from my fellow classmates. How simple life was then. I never thought I would recover. LOL!
