Three Tributes by Bob and Jim Freeman CD

Three Tributes for Mom and Dad,  CD from musicians and brothers James and Robert Freeman contains original scores commissioned to honor their beloved parents, who were also accomplished musicians. Several years ago, they conceived the idea of an album and commissioned three new pieces of music in memory of their parents, Henry and Florence Knope Freeman, both of whom graduated the Eastman School of Music in Rochester in 1930. They came up with the idea of recording an album, accompanied by a booklet, as a tribute to their parents, who were also both musicians and who were also children of musicians. Lifeline = Mom and Dad.

Spanning two generations of musicians THREE TRIBUTES for Mom and Dad CD works as a tribute for future generations to enjoy.

A September 2020 Getaway

Riverhead, on Long Island a getaway must. A must that we turned into a done. One night at The Residence Inn by Marriott, on Long Island East End, gave us the opportunity to visit wineries and spend time with friends.

Our first stop was the town of Jamesport, where we had lunch at GRANA Trattoria Antica.

We ordered pizza but not just a pizza, a fig caramelized onion aged mozzarella gorgonzola cream pizza. I expected this pizza to be different, what I didn’t expect was this pizza to be super delicious.

I love figs. Now I love them on pizza. My compliments to the pizza chef.

We stopped at two wineries, one in Jamesport and one in Greenport. Sharing a bottle of wine with friends always makes for a good time. Uncork and Unwind.

Wine was not the only drinking. We made a quick stop in Greenport’s coffee shop. It was the coffee that kept us going strong.

We loved looking out at the docked boats in Greenport. Playing the if I had a boat game. There were lots of boats to choose from…God bless boat people.

And God bless America!

Happy Birthday 2020

There are two birthdays in the Spring and two birthdays in the Fall. The norm is we go out for each others’ birthday. 2020 has been anything but the norm. So before the year ends (which can’t come soon enough) we decided on lunch outdoors before the weather gets too bad. For us Italian food is always a good idea. So Palominos Bar & Restaurant was it!! Service and food and oh the martinis always on tune.

No appetizers this time, we had left our mom with Merci and Marlene parents at home, so we got to the meal. Salads, Pasta, Chicken Wings with Medium Sauce and of course Shrimp Parm for me. We were on the clock but we enjoyed every moment together. Thanking God that we are all well, our parents are well enough and our children and their families are good. For the record we did get kind of loud, laughing and singing and toasting the day.

Life is too short to be with people who don’t like to eat. I did learn a valuable lesson, I can only handle one martini. Monday was a stay in bed day, thank goodness it was a holiday and it was raining too. Thank You Lord. Stressed spelled backwards spells…..you guessed it Dessert!! Out came this beautiful dish of ice cream delight enough for all the birthdays!! Happy Birthday to us.

Don’t count the candles, please, just enjoy the glow. 2020 you were different , but we will keep shining. Happy Birthday 2020.
